I deal in the most potent, pure stuff you’ll ever invest in.
But it’s worth it.
On Wednesday 7 October, I’ll be speaking at Leeds International Festival as part of a powerful panel bringing together academics, campaigners, and people with deeply personal experiences of loss and recovery.
As an expert by experience, I’ll be drawing upon my own lived experience, my work as Founder and CEO of EPiC HOPE, and everything I have learned through my global research into suicide prevention and community-led crisis support.
Together, we’ll explore how the media, friendship and the pressures of modern life shape our mental health, and why talking openly may be one of the most important steps towards prevention, understanding, and hope.
As the UK’s Number One Hope Dealer®, it’s a privilege to bring these difficult conversations into the light, challenge stigma and remind people that hope can still be found, even in our toughest moments.

Hope keeps people going when nothing else will. That’s something I see every day running EPiC HOPE, a suicide prevention organisation in the North of England. For us, hope isn’t a slogan. Hope is real life and all helping people about get through the hardest moments. And staying alive.
I spend my time working with EPiC HOPE and speaking around the country about mental health and survival. I don’t dress things up. What I share comes from lived experience. Real life, not theory. I’ve got my name on a couple of books and a few awards, but all that really matters is this. Knowing about the power of hope has kept someone here, another day.
If you want a speaker who’ll be honest, practical, and give people something they can actually use, get in touch. This is about helping people stay. Nothing more, nothing less.

Broken to Blooming
My raw and unfiltered memoir of the first 30 years of my life. It’s the story of how rock bottom became the foundation for a life dedicated to saving others.
